I have students with special education documentation that I have to control what they do on their chromebooks and when I was in the hospital I was not able to be actively logged in and the sub doesn't have access to it, so it's imperative that the schedule I set is automatically running. Students are using school devices, so it doesn't matter if it's a snow day or etc.
