Alert

I feel like it would be helpful if with lightspeed Alert, users could leave comments on a case for further users to see. for example I am in IT, so will not generally be the one responding to cases, but on occasion I may have a theory or some insight into a case that I would like to share with my team. I feel having a section for this within alert would be beneficial, but this would be best to have a toggle for so as to allow districts the decision to direct those communications elsewhere.

When importing users from AD, we have multiple schools in the same AD. The naming convention is as below Root\Teaching Staff\School1 Root\Teaching Staff\School2 Root\Students\School1 Root\Students\School2 etc When setting up escalations in Filter, all I can see is School1, School1, School2, School2, etc. It would be useful to be able to identify which is my staff groups and my student groups. Rather than the last name after the \, if they could be given the full OU path? Thanks Marc

Adding the ability to also scan and check desktop applications would provide more coverage for other methods of text strings would provide more safeguarding coverage.

We’ve observed that alerts appear to be generated only from typed terms or AI safety events, not from URL text or patterns in browsing history. This means students can repeatedly access explicit content on approved or mixed-use sites using clearly sexual URLs without triggering an alert. We’re trying to understand whether this is a configuration limitation or a product limitation, and would value options for alerting based on URL content or repeated browsing behavior to better support student safety. We really wish Lightspeed could scan histories and/or URLs for clear combinations of alarming words and phrases and notify us when a student is accessing such places.

Client requested the option to select or assign the students school of record for the purposes of Alert. Their request arose from a students alert being sent to multiple contact lists, one of which he had only an indirect connection (Tech School teacher rostered to multiple schools, but only teaches at the Tech School) Students who attend multiple campus for things like dual credit or tech courses could run into this. Client would like any Alerts to always go to the students main rostered school no matter their alternate locations.

We would like the ability to exclude certain sites from being raised as an Alert for websites such as CPOMS which are generating multiple alerts when staff are logging reports. (We want to monitor staff and therefore have our staff set to students under the profiling).

We have a document created by a health teacher that contains information that continues to make false-positive Alert cases with each subsequent copy. It would be ideal to exclude this document (perhaps by Doc ID?) as well as each copy of it that's created... (not sure how to address this as title keyword exclusion would be too vague...)

We have certain students that are of concern that we would like closer monitoring for and we would like to flag them so that if anything came up, it would alert us.

When a teacher adds a student manually to a class through Classroom, it affects the Alert notification by adding that campus Alert escalation for that student. If the teacher adds to the wrong campus, the students Alert notification now has two campus Admins. This is problematic, especially after hours. Is there a way to warn the teacher when adding a student manually that it is a different campus?
